description- The brain behind Seigaku's team. He takes data for all the games, including personal data for his rivals along with teammates. He's formerly known as Seigaku number 3 (right behind Fuji and Tezuka)- the data tennis man. But due to losing the Seigaku's regular selction matches in the beginning of the series (mostly because of Ryoma's appearence), he played Seigaku's manager for the first 50 or so episodes.

description- Kaidoh is nicknamed "the viper" by his fellow teammates since he is always really serious and is easily irritable. Kaidoh's famous move is the "boomrang snake" which makes the tennis ball go around the pole and back into the court. Kaidoh trains extremely hard, most of the time under Inui's instructions in order to improve his tennis skills. (additional note: he lost to Echizen in the first Seigaku regular selection matches, but he was able to save his regular's position after defeating Inui)

Karupin
Karupin is Ryoma's cat. Karupin is very lazy, and in one of the episodes goes and follows Ryoma Echizen to school because Karupin's toy feel in Ryoma's tennis bag by mistake. He followed Ryoma and his bag every where until he lost site of him. Karupin ended up finding Ryoma's bag but the cat was soon found by Kaidoh. Kaidoh didn't even know that Karupin is Ryoma's cat. When Ryoma found out that Karupin was missing he searched every where for him. Ryoma cares deeply about Karupin as you can see.
